"You know," my dad said the other day, "senior year is supposed to be easy."
"Well," I didn't say back to him, "I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOUR LIFE IS LIKE IN THAT PARALLEL DIMENSION."

I just feel like I'm drowning just at the moment. The thought of winter break in two weeks is more terrifying than tantalizing, because I know I have so fucking much to do between now and then. And I know that the moment this all ends, I'm going to collapse in the most epic illness known to man - I haven't been eating right, have barely gotten outside, have been getting six hours of sleep a night on the outside. The only consolation at the moment is all the fun I'm having ON THE INTERNETS.

Just...ughhhhgh. Winter break will be short, too. A week in Tucson, a week in Korea, two weeks in California, and then that's it. Spring semester's gonna be worse by far for me, too, because I'm getting a job (though only about a five hour a week job) and also, OH YEAH, LOL THESIS.

Dag.
Dag.

FUCK I STILL HAVEN'T ASKED MY TEACHERS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Hahaha, so glad I could break my several-week silence with this PHENOMENALLY PHENOMENAL UPDATE.

Ugh, I feel you on this one. I'm also in my senior year right now, and I've got all this shit to do but HAVE LOST THE WILL TO DO ANYTHING. Meh.

But you get to go to Korea. Lucky!

I think I am going to become a HOBO ON THE STREETS. Would you like to join me in becoming a HOBO ON THE STREETS? I will found a hobo city. I will call it CRACKTON.

But god I'm turbo-psyched for Korea. I've never been to Asia before, so the new experience will almost - almost - make up for having to spend time with my jerkass sister.

Oh, gosh, I couldn't be a hobo in Korea. Seoul is way too expensive, from what I hear. Still, I'm glad you'll come to Crackton with me. ♥ It has some lovely parks and promenades.

Winter's always a tough time for school, I think, no matter what level you're in. It is for me, anyway. But you'll get through it. But damn, you're going to Korea? That's-- should be interesting, anyway. Tell me how it is when you come back! And try to eat better; if you know you're going to get sick maybe you can stay it off.

What job're you getting?

Yeah, I am. First week in January, for a little bit under a week. I might be able to e-mail a bit; I'm going to see my sister, so she should have internet, so I'll send you updates on the weirdo beardo stuff I see, or make up stuff if I don't see anything at all.

And I'm getting a job as a tutor for high school students in writing. It should go okay. I'm afraid I'm not super-qualified, just because I'm pretty crap at expository writing, but, you know. It's just the futures of children I'll be destroying with my incompetence.

As long as there's an interesting story. The hell with truth. And man, it's KOREA. There's no way there can't be an interesting story.

Like, creative writing? Or English? And oh, don't worry, you can't do any worse than their teachers.

I hope so. My sister has pledged to show us all the culture shockiest sites there are to see.

And English. Mostly essays. Apparently, we will have an opportunity to do a bit of creative writing as sort of warm-up exercises and that sort of thing, which would be awesome. I'd love to be able to pass along my copious experience and solidly thought-out methods(?).

Ugh, god. Have fun. I personally despise writing essays, but that's just me. But ooh, I hope you do get to do a bit of creative writing, at least. Have you ever taught before? Shouldn't be too hard.

You can pass on your vast vocabulary, too.

THIS IS WHY I NEVER WENT TO COLLEGE. Well, that and lack of money. And motivation. And in some ways, real necessity. Uh.

God, you just need to say to hell with all of that and come down here and get your butt plugged by me.

Still, though, you're graduating this year, right? REMEMBER ALL OF THE GOOD YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO FOR OTHERS WITH YOUR SECONDARY EDUCATION, HOPE. REMEMBER THAT.

...I don't even know if I'm fucking JOKING

Have an appropriate icon in the meantime.
